- During promotion for the first film, Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman both hinted two possible sequels plus clarified they wouldn't be called Wicked Part Three or Four. Presumably these could adapt further books if not original stories while unannounced if despite omission from the musical if Elphaba's son Liir will appear allowing for a movie based on Son of a Witch.
