"We're Off to See the Wizard" or " Follow The Yellow Brick Road" was a song from The Wizard of Oz. The song was sung by Dorothy Gale and her friends while they strolled down the yellow brick road.

"Follow The Yellow Brick Road" Lyrics

Dorothy:

Follow the Yellow Brick Road.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road?

Mayor of Munchkinland:

Follow the Yellow Brick Road.

Munchkin Man:

Follow the Yellow Brick Road.

Munchkin Woman:

Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

Barrister of Munchkinland:

Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

Munchkins:

Follow the Yellow Brick Road!
Follow the Yellow Brick Road!
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the Yellow Brick Road!
Follow the Yellow Brick, follow the Yellow Brick, follow the Yellow Brick Road!
You're off to see the Wizard, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
You'll find he is a whiz of a Wiz, if ever a Wiz there was.
If ever, oh ever a Wiz there was, The Wizard of Oz is one because,
Because, because, because, because, because
Because of the wonderful things he does.
You're off to see the wizard, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

"We're Off to See the Wizard" Lyrics

We're off to see the Wizard, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
We hear he is a whiz of a Wiz, if ever a Wiz there was.
If ever, oh ever a Wiz there was, The Wizard of Oz is one because
Because, because, because, because, because
Because of the wonderful things he does.
We're off to see the Wizard, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Other Appearances

The Wizard of Oz In Story and Song (Happy Time Records) This song also appears in the record The Wizard of Oz In Story and Song, sung by the Happy Time Chorus. The lyrics for the first part are slightly different, but the rest is just like the 1939 movie.

Follow the yellow brick road.
Follow the yellow brick road.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the yellow brick road.
Follow the rainbow over the stream.
Follow the fellow who follows a dream.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the yellow brick road.

The Story of the Wizard of Oz (Disneyland Records)

In the Disneyland Records version of the story, there are two songs after the completion of the story; "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is the first, and this song is the second. This version of the song has the same lyrics as the Happy Time Chorus version, except it says "Follow a fellow who follows a dream," instead of "'Follow the fellow who follows a dream."
