Uncle Henry is a character from The Wizard of Oz.
History[]
Uncle Henry was counting his chicks with his wife, Em, as they were worried about their lives because his old incubator had broken down. Then their niece, Dorothy, arrived telling them that Almira Gulch had hit Toto for chasing her cat.
Later, he met Miss Gulch, who wanted to speak to him and his wife about Dorothy, saying that she was all but lame from the bite on her leg. Pretending not to understand, Henry asked if Dorothy had bitten her. Gulch corrected him, saying it was her dog, to which Henry questioned whether Dorothy had bitten Toto.
Letting her into his house, Henry heard her say that she would take Toto to the sheriff and make sure he's destroyed. Henry assured his niece that he wouldn't let her do that. Gulch replied that she would bring a damage suit that would take his whole farm and showed them the sheriff's order that allowed her to take Toto. Feeling that they could not break the law, Henry picked up Toto and put him in Gulch's basket. Seeing her niece run into her room in tears, Aunt Em yelled at Gulch while Henry laughed.
When a tornado threatened his farm, Henry led everyone but Dorothy - who they couldn't find anywhere - to the cellar.
Later, when the tornado passed, Uncle Henry and Aunt Em found Dorothy unconscious in her bed. When she woke up, Dorothy began to describe what to them was nothing more than a bad dream.
