The soundtrack for The Wiz Live! became available on CD on December 11, 2015, a little over a week after the musical's television premiere. It contains audio from 18 numbers, and a 24-page booklet with photos of the cast, an introduction by New York Times critic Felicia R. Lee, a synopsis of the show, lyrics to the songs, and a list of cast and crew members.
