The Sword of Oz was a non-canonical 2007 Oz interactive ebook by Darren Reid. It was released by the now defunct NextGenBooks and was supposedly compatable on various video gaming devices. It was announced this would be the first in a series featuring Arthur Gale, the grandfather of Dorothy Gale, visiting the Land of Oz long before she did. It is unknown how it was cancelled, but the series was supposed to be a triolgy called Dark Witches of Oz and would have had two other titles called The Empire of Oz and The Rise of the Dark Witch of Oz along with a computer game called The Sword of Oz: The Emerald Ring.
It is unknown when and why the company went defunct as it is believed to have also created an online game called The Half Broken Crown: The Broken Kingdoms.
