Salamander Island, also called Lavaland Island, is an island under the protection of Ozma of Oz in the Nonestic Ocean. It is inhabited by Lavaland Islanders, who are made of lava and live inside the active volcano on the island. The island is also inhabited by salamanders. Samuel Salt took a salamander from the island and named it Sally. He then named the island 'Salamander Island' after Sally. (Pirates in Oz)
