Remembering Return to Oz is an online documentary about the film Return to Oz (1985). It features interviews with various cast along with production team members. It was filmed between 2017-2021 but not released until May 17th, 2022 with a "Director's Cut" runtime of two hours and 28 minutes and a shorter festival runtime of one hour and 35 minutes.
The only way to currently watch in its entirety is through their official website rememberingreturntooz.com with a purchase fee of $12.99 plus tax or a three-day access fee of $3.99. It is then accessed with an account which unlocks the ability to watch it plus some extra footage not included in the film. The shorter version is available on demand for Vimeo but slightly pricier with $14.99 to buy and $5.99 to rent for one day.
According to their Facebook Page: "Both versions have different intros and various footage and parts of interviews and individuals in one that’s not in the other. There is an advantage to buying both."
It was executively produced by Elizabeth Reams with co-producers Aaron Pacentine and Liz Burrough.
