Pat Walshe (July 26, 1900 - December 11, 1991) was the diminutive actor who played Nikko, leader of the flying monkeys, in the 1939 MGM film The Wizard of Oz.

Walshe was a veteran and well-respected animal actor. Most of his work was done on stage; he made only three movies in his career, The Wizard of Oz being by far the most noteworthy and he was the last surviving credited cast member of the film besides a number of munchkins at the time.

Walshe compares with Fred Woodward, another actor of the time who specialized in portraying animals and who appeared in Oz films.

Trivia[]
