Oz Wiki

The Ozsquatch is a "legendary creature" that Toto is transformed into in the Dorothy and The Wizard of Oz episode "Toto Transformed". Toto is transformed into it by ringing an Enchanted bell three times, while ringing it five more times changes him back.

Appearance[]

As Ozsquatch, Toto is large and monstrous, ten feet according to the Munchkins. His upper body becomes boarder, his eyes turn red, and his fur becomes scraggily. One of the other Munchkins fabricated a completely outlandish description, which Scarecrow points out sounds nothing like the previous one.

Personality[]

Since it is Toto under a transformation spell, he retains his harmless demeanor and loyalty to Dorothy. As the bell only affects his physical appearance, not his mentality.

Role in the series[]

Toto is periodically transformed into Ozsquatch throughout the episode, "Toto Transformed", causing panic throughout Munchkinland, until Dorothy, Scarecrow, Lion and Tinman figure out it's Toto under the effects of the enchanted bell.

Etymology[]

Based on "Sasquatch", the name given to the infamous creature of Northern American folklore.
