La Maga y el Camino Dorado (English: The Wizardess and the Golden Road), also known as La Maga, is a 2008 spanish-language Argentinian children's and young adult telenovela TV series, loosely based on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
It aired throughout Latin America, from October 13, 2008 to December 23, 2008, in the Southern Zone, while in the Northern Zone its final episode aired on February 9, 2009.
The series premiered in Italy on the Rai Gulp channel under the title "La Maga" from June 10 to July 15, 2013.

An updated adaptation of the unforgettable classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, La Maga is a magical tale of love and adventure where fantasy and reality intertwine, and dreams come true.
Dorana (Dorothy) is a poor and clumsy girl who dreams of becoming a fairytale princess. Without love and accompanied only by her young friend Toto, she longs to visit other worlds and escape her dull life for a greater destiny. It seems like just a dream—until a storm changes everything. As she journeys along the path to Oz, she discovers spiritual "keys" that help her resolve conflicts, uncover her true identity, and ultimately find love.
