The Kansas Sheriff is a major character of the Oz books and media. He is voiced by Randy Crenshaw in Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return.

The Wizard of Oz (1939)[]

The Sheriff was mentioned by Almira Gulch and Dorothy , that Gulch is gonna take Toto away from the Gale family, and bring the dog to the sheriff to execute him for biting her, but Toto escaped and returned home.

Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return[]

In the end of the film, the Sheriff followed Auntie Emily, and Uncle Henry who also followed Dorothy Gale, trying to pead everyone to stay in Kansas, becasue no on has the right to take their homes away from all the inhabitants of the town. As the tent collapses, Dorothy picked up The Appraiser's wallet, with lots of fake identities, without knowing who he is, and showed it to the Sheriff. Then, he arrested the apprasier for fraud and brought him to jail, the Apprasier tried to convince him he's making a mistake, but the Sheriff didn't care and said "You can tell that to the judge.
