Howard Heath (1879 – 1969) was the artist who illustrated L. Frank Baum's two "Sam Steele" books, Sam Steele's Adventures on Land and Sea (1906) and Sam Steele's Adventures in Panama (1907).
Heath also illustrated books that had nothing to do with Baum, Including:

- Finkler's Field: A Story of School and Baseball, Ralph Henry Barbour (1911)

Heath was an artist with the Works Progress Administration in the 1930s.
