Hal Roach (January 14, 1892 - November 2, 1992) was an actor who played the Cowardly Lion in The Magic Cloak of Oz and The Patchwork Girl of Oz (both 1914) where he also played a Tottenhot.
Besides seven other roles, he would go on be involved with nearly 1,800 productions either as a producer, director, writer, and/or additional crew member.
