Epaminondas Xavier Gracindo, best known as Gracindo Júnior (pronounced: grah-SEEN-doo JOO-nee-ohr), is a Brazilian actor, lyricist, director, author, and screenwriter. He screenwrited the 1984 Brazilian parody film Os Trapalhões e o Mágico de Oróz.
Biography[]
Gracindo was born in May 21, 1943 to actor Paulo Gracindo. He later fathered the actors Gabriel Gracindo, Pedro Gracindo, and Daniela Duarte. He directed 124 episode of the 1978-to-1979 TV series "A Sucessora", 82 episodes of the 1979 TV series "Memórias de Amor", 165 episodes of the 1979-to-1980 TV series "Marrom-Glacê", and the 1985 episode "O Enigma Enigmático" of the 1977-to-1986 TV adaptation of the works of Monteiro Lobato, "O Sítio do Pica-Pau Amarelo". Gracindo Júnior won the 2010 Prêmio ACIE de Cinema's Best Documentary award for the 2009 documentary "Paulo Gracindo - O Bem Amado" and received an honorable mention in 2020 by the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival for his character, Gera, in the 2020 film "A Queda".
