Fantastic Journey to Oz

Fantastic Journey to Oz or Urfin Jus and His Wooden Soldiers (Russian: Урфин Джюс и его деревянные солдаты) is an animated movie based on the second book in Alexander Volkov's Magic Land series made by the CTB Film Company. It was first released in Russia on 20 April 2017 and released to various other film markets such as China andMongolia. The English language version has the story taking place in the regular Oz setting.

Despite a lukewarm reception in Russia and limited availability elsewhere, a sequel entitled Fantastic Return to Oz or Urfin Jus Returns was made in 2019 but its' worldwide release has been delayed despite the English dub believed to be complete.

The cunning and wicked Urfin Jus decides to become ruler of Magic Land, take over the Emerald City with his Wooden Soldiers, and rename it to Urfingrad. He is all but ready to celebrate victory, when his plans are ruined by Ellie Smith (Dorothy in the English version) — an ordinary girl who ends up in Oz just at the right time. She must return home, but not before she helps her friends — Strasheela the Scarecrow, the Iron Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion — defeat Urfin. But before they can defeat him, they must find out who he really is.
