Evoldo was a king of the Land of Ev. He is introduced in L. Frank Baum's third Oz book, Ozma of Oz, published in 1907.
He was said to be a very cold and cruel man. A impetuous ruler, who after purchasing Tik-Tok the clockwork man, gave him his name. Evoldo sold his wife and ten children (five boys and five girls) to the Nome King in exchange for a long life. Later, regretting this bargain, he locked Tik-Tok in a stone chamber and jumped into the Nonestic Ocean, killing himself. (Ozma of Oz)
