Evardo is the oldest son of Evoldo, king of Ev.

When his father sold him, his mother, and his nine siblings to the Nome King, they were all transformed into ornaments to decorate his palace. The royal family was rescued by Billina.

Evardo was a grave and quiet youth, and when they returned to Evna he was crowned King Evardo XV and ruled wisely and with justice. He was fifteen years of age, had fifteen silver buckles on his jacket, and was the fifteenth Evardo to rule the Land of Ev. (Ozma of Oz)

He, his mother, and all his siblings later visited the Emerald City of Oz to attend Princess Ozma's birthday party. Their gift to her was a diadem of diamonds set in radium. (The Road to Oz)

Evardo and Ozma are married in L. Sprague de Camp's 1991 novel Sir Harold and the Gnome King and have a son named Oznev.

Evardo is a prospective husband for Ozma in a dynastic marriage, in Jellia Jamb, Maid of Oz.
