Danny Yanga ( January 3, 1983- ) is an Antillean singer, actor and model. Yanga took singing lessons at the Curacao Cultural Center. Yanga portrayed the role of the Scarecrow in De musical The Wiz.
Biography[]
Yanga took singing lessons at the Curaçao Cultural Center and with various singing teachers in Curaçao.
Yanga played the leading role Simba at Joop van de Ende Theater Productions in the Dutch version of The Lion King in 2005 and 2006 . In 2004 he already sang in The Lion King , but was not yet Simba . In the 2006-2007 season he appeared as the Scarecrow, in the musical The Wiz . Danny sang and danced in the new tour of the Orchestra of the Royal Air Force called Hollywood in concert with Anita Meyer and Lee Towers , among others . He is currently playing The Lion King again in Hamburg as Simba.
Yanga was presenter of the musical television program Video Zoo on Curaçao. He also presented a children's program on the radio. Yanga won many awards as a singer in Curaçao and also in Hollywood. He had several number one hits on various radio stations in the Antilles .
During Queen Beatrix's state visit to Curaçao in 2006 , Yanga specially sang a song from The Lion King. He is also a freelance model and was Male Model of Curaçao in 2002 and Male Model of the World in Hollywood in 2001 . He came second in the Mr. Intercontinental pageant in Germany and fourth at Mr. International pageant in India.
