Curtis "Snowball" McHenry (April 4, 1899 – July 24, 1934) was a stuntman and actor who played the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz (1925) by way of his character Snowball being given a lion costume. He was credited as "G. Howe Black" through the decision of director and co-star Larry Semon.
Many sources incorrectly credit another actor, Spencer Bell (1887-1935), for playing Snowball. This wikia previously endorsed the mistaken credit.
