Copp, Clark and Company is the Canadian publisher that issued the first Canadian editions (and first foreign editions overall) of the Oz books of L. Frank Baum.
The firm was founded in 1869 as a partnership between William Walter Copp and Henry James Clark. Based in Toronto, Ontario, the company became a major supplier of books and other printed materials to the Canadian market, publishing school texts, juvenile fiction, and a wide variety of general interest books.
The company has been known by different variants of its original name throughout its history; it continues to operated today as Copp Clark Pitman.
