Ayşecik ve Sihirli Cüceler Rüyalar Ülkesinde (English: Ayşecik and the Magical Dwarfs in the Land of Dreams) is a 1971 Turkish film directed by Tunç Başaran. It is an uncredited and very close adaptation of L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Summary[]
The film tells the story of a girl named Ayşecik who lives with her parents on their farm until one day a tornado occurs that rips their house from its foundations and sends it soaring into the sky. When Ayşecik lands, she opens the front door and is faced with the Northern Sorceress, from whom Ayşecik receives a protective kiss and a pair of silver shoes and with the promised help from seven munchkins, she sets out in search of the Great Wizard.
