Antonio Gonçalves (pronounced: ahn-TOH-nee-oo gohn-SAH-oo-vees) is a Brazilian photography director, camera operator, and actor. He did the direction of photography and camera for Os Trapalhões e o Mágico de Oróz, alongside José Tadeu Ribeiro.

Biography[]

Antonio Gonçalves is best known for his works as directir of photography in the films "O Judoka", from1973, "Enigma para Demônios", from 1975 – to which he won the 1977 Prêmio APCA award for best photography direction – , "Simbad, O Marujo Trapalhão", from 1976, and "A Intrusa", from 1979 – to which he won the 1980 Kikito de Ouro award for best photography direction. He began his career as a cinematographer in 1947 with the film "Querida Susana" and as a camera operator in the next year in the film "Fogo na Canjica".
