Annette Funicello (October 22, 1942 - April 8, 2013) was an actress who was intended to play Ozma in Rainbow Road to Oz. She appeared in the filmed preview at the age of 15 but as sort of a background chorus character who does some dancing in The Oz Kan Hop plus singing in the title number.
In a special feature for Oz the Great and Powerful, Doreen Tracy who was intended to play the Patchwork Girl recalled that she told her that Mr. Disney was not smiling once the promo finished filming implying he was doubtful about going forward with the project right then.
