Acinad is a Nome, the kindly brother of Ruggedo. He had been turned to dust when his brother pushed him into the Deadly Desert, but a freak tidal wave washes his remains into the Winkie Country and he is restored to life. After befriending the Tin Woodman, he sets out for the Emerald City to find his Magic Diamond. However, a wicked witch from the Quadling Country wants the diamond for herself.
